TIME TO RECONNECT

After the difficulte year we have all had, we are very pleased to welcome you to this fifth edition of Viva Technology, taking place from June 16th to June 19th both in-person, at Porte de Versailles in Paris, and online worldwide. We would like to extend ou warmest thanks to our partners for their unflagging support, and for assembling with us a first-of-its-kind program of renowned speakers, major initiatives and groundbreaking innovations. 

After the cancellation of last year's edition, we have been working hard to reinvent VivaTech. We wanted to make this edition a strong marker of the economic recovery at the European level. As we will see at VivaTech - the first hybrid event of this magnitude in the last 18 months - the role of innovation and tech is more decisive than ever in the rebuilding of our economies and in laying the groundwork for a more sustainable society.

VivaTech is recognized throughout the world as a powerful catalyst for business transformation, startup growth and innovation for the common good, for a more responsible and inclusive societu. This year's event reinforces our primary ambition and allows us to contribute to the economic recovery by creating synergies and collaborations and by promoting the digital transformation of companies. 

While becoming a truly hybrid event, VivaTech has managed to renew itself by staying true to its fundamentals : 

  • Inspiration: More than 1,000 sessions designed by our teams and partners, adapting the codes of broadcast television and social media with the help of four reinvented TV studios
  • Discovery: More than 500 tech innovations from around the world displayed in showrooms on our digital platform, 100 of them modelled in 3D and augmented reality
  • Business: More than 1,400 exhibitors, nearly 60% of whom will be present at Porte de Versailles in Paris, in a 25,000 m² space

A REVITALIZED BUSINESS MODEL

 

A new digital experience

This year, VivaTech is developing an engaging and original digital world, which combines a new concept for sessions inspired by the conventions of television and social media: VivaTech is launching its own continuous news channel, VivaTech News, available 24 hours a day, 100% free of charge from the digital platform, but also from VivaTech's website, social networks, etc. Broadcasting live in-studio, in duplex from our conference rooms, and with live reporting from the Porte de Versailles venue with our special correspondents, VivaTech news will be able to stand by and give priority to certain key live moments during the 3 B2B days of Viva Technology. 

VivaTech brings together decision-makers, CMOs and CDOs from all over the world to exchange together and develop business relationships beyond borders. The event will feature a special networking platform driven by data-matching and spontaneous exchanges (creation of online networking rooms as well as text and video chat modules) and an immersive exhibition of the latest innovations (online showrooms displaying more than 500 innovations modeled in 3D / AR). 

This year, the VivaTech digital platform offers personalized support, including themed tours. By logging in, visitors can choose their itinerary online or in-person, as well as the day and time of their visit. They are offered a selection of 30 highlights according to their preferred themes and interests (exhibitors, innovations and conferences of the day). A serendipity feature completes the experience, allowing visitors to be surprised by content
they did not expect to find online.

The importance of meeting face-to-face

VivaTech remains convinced of the power of physical gathering, human connection and the unique experience of face-to-face meetings. This annual event will take place once again in Paris at the Porte de Versailles, for four days starting June 16, covering an area of 25,000 square meters. Three days are dedicated to business, from Wednesday to Friday; Saturday is open to the general public.


The event will be held in strict compliance with health and safety requirements. We are working closely with the relevant authorities and have put in place a strict sanitary protocol that complies with the latest regulations.

MAIN THEMES FOR 2021

  1. Tech for the Environment - In addition to all of the special programming focused on the environment, VivaTech is committed to 100% carbon offsetting and is launching the VivaTech Pact, a multi-stakeholder CSR commitment charter that aims to coordinate impact reduction actions by VivaTech suppliers, partners and visitors. 
  2. Tech for Society.
  3. Tech to Watch, with all the innovations that will shape the world of tomorrow. 
  4. Scaling Up - To accelerate the emergence of European tech champions, VivaTech honors and participates in the Scale-Up Europe initiative, launched by French President Emmanuel Macron, which brings together more than 150 scale-up founders, investors, researchers, business leaders and institutions and aims to accelerate the emergence of European technology champions. A summary of their recommendations will be presented to President Macron during VivaTech, so that they may be considered at the European level, particularly during the French presidency of the EU in 2022. 
  5. Future of Work, and digital transformation for economic recovery.
